Scott Boatwright

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Scott Boatwright is the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Chipotle. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing restaurant operations and field People Experience for over 3,500 company-owned restaurants with more than 120,000 employees. Since joining the organization in May 2017, Mr. Boatwright has driven the integration of new technology into restaurants, yielding impressive results and improvements in throughput and the overall guest experience. He was named Nation’s Restaurant News ‘Operations CREATOR of the Year’ in 2021 as well as to Fast Casual’s ‘2020 Top 25 Executive’ list.

Prior to Chipotle, Mr. Boatwright spent 18 years with Arby’s Restaurant Group in various leadership positions. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for the performance of over 1,700 Arby’s restaurants in numerous states.

Mr. Boatwright currently serves on the board of directors of Academy Sports and Outdoors, Inc. and is a member of the National Restaurant Association’s Fast Casual Industry Council. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
