Brian Niccol is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer for Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG). He assumed the role of Chairman in March 2020, and under his leadership as Chief Executive Officer, a role he’s held since March 2018, Chipotle has seen accelerated comparable sales growth. Prior to his current role, Mr. Niccol served as Chief Executive Officer of Taco Bell, a division of Yum! Brands. During his tenure at Taco Bell, Mr. Niccol was Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer and President. Mr. Niccol also held several executive positions at Pizza Hut, another division of Yum! Brands, including General Manager and Chief Marketing Officer. Before joining Yum! Brands, Mr. Niccol spent 10 years at Procter & Gamble, serving in various brand management positions.
Mr. Niccol currently serves on the board of Harley-Davidson in addition to the board of directors of The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, Chipotle’s nonprofit organization. Mr. Niccol holds an undergraduate degree from Miami University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Chief Marketing Officer
Chris Brandt joined Chipotle as Chief Marketing Officer in April 2018. Prior to joining Chipotle, Mr. Brandt was Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of Bloomin’ Brands, Inc. from May 2016 through December 2017. Mr. Brandt was previously Chief Brand Officer/Chief Marketing Officer for Taco Bell, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc., from May 2013 to May 2016, and was a Senior Director and Vice President of Marketing for Taco Bell from November 2010 to May 2013. Mr. Brandt has an undergraduate degree in Economics from UC San Diego and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
Chief Technology Officer
Curt Garner is the Chief Technology Officer for Chipotle Mexican Grill. Mr. Garner joined Chipotle in November 2015 and has been instrumental in developing Chipotle’s digital platform and the integration of technology across the organization as well as ensuring data security. Mr. Garner’s leadership has secured global recognition for Chipotle’s platforms including the award-winning Chipotle app and the brand’s loyalty program, Chipotle Rewards. In 2020, Mr. Garner was named to the CIO Hall of Fame.
Prior to Chipotle, Mr. Garner worked at Starbucks Corporation for 17 years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. He led the brand’s global technology and engineering services and was responsible for creating and building the Starbucks app, loyalty program, website, and mobile payment. Before that, Mr. Garner was responsible for leading the development and deployment of technology for Wendy’s international division as well as the technology that supported Tim Hortons initial expansion into the U.S. marketplace.

Chief Financial Officer
John R. (Jack) Hartung is Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Hartung joined Chipotle in 2002 after spending 18 years at McDonald's where he held a variety of management positions, most recently as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of its Partner Brands Group. Mr. Hartung has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and economics as well as an MBA from Illinois State University.
Chief Corporate Affairs and Food Safety Officer
Laurie Schalow is Chief Corporate Affairs and Food Safety Officer. Prior to joining Chipotle, Ms. Schalow was Vice President of Public Affairs for Yum! Brands overseeing Global Corporate Social Responsibility, PR, Crisis Management, Social Listening and Community Diversity programs for the 44,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants in 140 countries. Laurie holds a B.S. Degree in Business from Miami University and received her Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve and Wayne State University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Muhammad Ali Center.
Chief Diversity, Inclusion and People Officer
Marissa Andrada joined Chipotle Mexican Grill in April 2018 as the brand’s first Chief People Officer. The role has since been formalized and evolved into the Chief Diversity, Inclusion and People Officer for Chipotle, bringing the brand’s purpose, To Cultivate a Better World, to life through its people. Ms. Andrada’ s initiatives and passion points include driving a diversity strategy across all levels of the company and fostering a culture of well-being to inspire mutual learning, development, personal and career growth. Ms. Andrada has been instrumental in redefining Chipotle’s benefits, launching a new tuition assistance program including the option to earn a Debt Free College Degree, access to mental healthcare and a quarterly bonus option open to Chipotle’s 85,000+ Chipotle employees. Prior to joining Chipotle, she was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Chief Resources Officer at Kate Spade & Company and Senior Vice President of Partner Resources for Starbucks Coffee Company. Prior to Starbucks, she served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at GameStop Corporation and Head of Human Resources at Red Bull North America. Ms. Andrada has an MBA from Pepperdine University and completed her undergraduate education at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. Ms. Andrada is a founding member of the CNBC Workforce Executive Council and a 2020 American Business Award Gold Stevie® winner in the HR Executive of the Year category.
Chief Restaurant Officer
Scott Boatwright is the Chief Restaurant Officer at Chipotle, responsible for overseeing operations for 2,600 company-owned restaurants with more than 85,000 employees. Joining the organization in May 2017, Mr. Boatwright drove the integration of new technology into restaurants, yielding impressive results and improvements across throughput and the overall guest experience. Recognized for his industry contributions, Mr. Boatwright was named to Fast Casual’s ‘2020 Top 25 Executive’ list.
Prior to Chipotle, Mr. Boatwright spent 18 years with Arby’s Restaurant Group in various leadership positions. Most recently serving as the Senior Vice President of Operations, where he was responsible for the performance of over 1,700 Arby’s restaurants in numerous states.
Mr. Boatwright is a member of the National Restaurant Association’s Fast Casual Industry Council providing insight and expertise to the collaborative forum. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
Chief Legal Officer
Roger Theodoredis joined Chipotle as Chief Legal Officer in October 2018. Prior to joining Chipotle, he was General Secretary of Danone North America, with responsibility for legal, public affairs, communications, scientific affairs and corporate security. He previously served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of The WhiteWave Foods Company until its acquisition by Danone, N.A. in April 2017, having been appointed as General Counsel of WhiteWave Foods in 2005. Prior to joining WhiteWave Foods, he served as Division General Counsel for Mead Johnson Nutritionals, a subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb. His previous experience includes working at Chiquita Brands International in a number of legal roles, leading to Assistant General Counsel. He began his career at Drinker Biddle & Reath, a Philadelphia law firm, and holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.
Chief Development Officer
Tabassum Zalotrawala joined Chipotle Mexican Grill as Chief Development Officer in December 2018. In this role, Ms. Zalotrawala oversees the restaurant development department which has been a driving force behind the expansion of innovative formats including the Chipotlane, which was named one of ‘The Most Innovative Architecture Projects of 2020’ by Fast Company.
Prior to joining Chipotle, Ms. Zalotrawala spent over seven years at Panda Restaurant Group as Chief Development Officer and Vice President of Development overseeing real estate, design, construction, facilities and strategic sourcing. Prior to joining Panda Restaurant Group, Ms. Zalotrawala spent over 10 years with Arby’s and Wendy’s Arby’s Group in various leadership positions in Development. Ms. Zalotrawala started her career in luxury hospitality, designing high profile palaces & mosques in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
Ms. Zalotrawala holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design from the School of Planning & Architecture, American Intercontinental University and is a LEED Accredited Professional. In 2018, Ms. Zalotrawala completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, an intensive program that creates transformational leaders capable of tackling an organization’s toughest challenges. Ms. Zalotrawala was honored with the Exceptional Women Awardee award in 2020 & serves on the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Board of Trustees. Ms Zalotrawala also serves on the Board of Directors of Diamond Rock Hospitality Company, a publicly traded self-advised Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and is involved in non-profit work as a board member of GLEAM Network. GLEAM is a Global Leadership Enhancement and Mentorship Network serving underrepresented and underserved professionals in the food service industry. Ms. Zalotrawala is also an active member with The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and is currently pursuing certification as a corporate director.
